November was a TREAT!!

I know I say it every month...but the market really does get bigger and better every single month. The stallholders create a great vibe. Our market is seriously friendly. Our stallholders are not pretentious in any way and support each other in a very sweet way.And most importantly, our market showcases some amazing talent.Oh yes it does.People who have mastered their craft so to speak.Product that is all handmade and/or Australian Made. Our regular stallholders come with new product every month. Our new stallholders all comment on the "vibe" of the market. We have the cutest balloons ever .And they are free for the kiddies. As is the face painting.Oh we just love giving away free stuff.
If you havent crossed that bridge yet, or havent ventured into Yarraville for a while...the time to do it is the weekend of December 5th and 6th...thats when our Christmas market is on!!And its going to be huge. And wonderful. And all that stuff.Trust me Im a professional.
But lets stay focused on November for a moment longer.Check out some of the beautiful gear that you could have nabbed had you been there.Or perhaps you were there and did nab it!! Perhaps.
Enjoy.....

I blinked and it was November.....

hello.
Its been a while.
So sorry to have neglected this here little blog, but we have been flat out preparing for the November markets!! Yes, thats Saturday and Sunday. We are excited about this weekends markets. We have lots of new wonderful stallholders. We have lots of great product.Lots and lots.
Oh and have you heard that christmas is about 6 weeks away?
Yep it is.And so now would be the perfect opportunity for me to remind you of the importance of buying handmade this silly season. Not only does it benefit our economy, it also really helps our lovely artists to continue doing what they do best - making gorgeous products!
It is also way kinder to the earth to be buying handmade as a lot of handmade incorporates recycled materials which makes us all happy.
There is no need to step foot in any horrible shopping centre this Christmas. Not when you can shop it up at the Yarraville Markets. So get to it.Shop people.I say shop!

We hope to see you there.
Masonic Hall Yarraville.Just behind the village.Next to the Greek Church.Look for the fairy lights. And the red balloons with cute rabbits on them.

Heres a little taster of what you may find this month and what you may have missed last month....

Oh and congratulations to Leslie from Onegirl Designworks on her full page spread in the Herald Sun last weekend...Her oobee friends are divine, as are her quilts. And guessy where shes going to be this Saturday? Uh huh...just hanging out at our little market. So come and say hi to her and get her autograph cause shes like really famous now.

October market-This Weekend.

Loooky looky where the Yarraville Markets was mentioned.Well really the article was all about the growth of craft and local markets. But we are a part of that. And our very lovely friend Dana got a special little mention.YAY Dana. She's a regular at the Yarraville Markets. And shes a local. Good work girl!
The next market is this Saturday AND Sunday.Yep,thats right...now you can feast your eyes on amazing handmade products for 2 days of the month.Different stalls on both days.Too much excitement for little ol me.
Come and have a peek. And bring your purse because apparently Christmas is only 11(?) weeks away.
So buy handmade and support the designers of Melbourne.
See you there.

So much news....

.

Oh gosh,i havent even told you about the September market and the happy people that were there.
But the October market is speedily approaching and we have doubled the workload (and the fun) by turning the market into a 2 day event.thats my excuse for no posts!!
Yes,from now on the monthly Yarraville Markets will be open for business on both Saturday AND Sunday.
Thats because there are SO many amazing artists out there who are all doin their thing and want to join the fun of our little festive space.Which we welcome!!
Its like christmas everyday in our office as we open the ever flowing applications.I am constantly amazed at what filters through.Lots of talent.Lots.
And as we have space restrictions in the Masonc Hall, the only way we could bring more gorgeous products to the people was to extend the days. There will be different stall holders on both days, and a few doing both days to begin with.

Heres a few snaps of the Septmeber market.
