It was a gorgeous day on Saturday, there were many handmade lovers floating through the Yarraville markets, and all of our stallholders had big smiles on their faces. The rain held off until after we packed up - so all in all the universe was taking great care of us makers.
The SUNDAY market IN MAY has been cancelled - as the Masonic Hall accidently double booked! SO Saturday the 14th May will be the next big market day.

Beautiful Buttercup Ink products...I bought my daughter a "things in my head" notebook for her birthday on Wednesday as she is a budding song writer, and told me just the other day how her songs "just come into her head!"....perfect! Vari is very talented and has just launched her new website and a brand new range.Check it out over here....

totally innocent products...check out their shop....things are constantly being added !!

Green Essence Candles. My 13 year old boy scored one of these. He was so passionate about how good they smelled that I simply couldn't refuse.

The lovely Kelly from Harper Rose makes the most gorgeous fabric covered artwork. Baby sleeping signs, pretty florals, vintage designs.A bit of everything to suit all tastes.

Kasey handmakes each personalised frame (on the spot if you desire) using beautiful designer papers. Her frames are perfect for a newborn gift, christening, or just to add a little something to your child's bedroom.

Liz' jewellery (Bird of Play) is so delicate and pretty and simple and gorgeous! I am in love with so many pieces that I just can't choose one!!
Maybe next month....

Kathleen has not been in business for terribly long BUT she is a woman on a mission and as you can see, she creates gorgeous jewellery using all kinds of pretty things.Again, I couldn't choose...

Sometimes things happen just when you need them too !!
We have been looking for someone to play live music for quite some time.ANd then along came Anna. Anna has just moved here from Sydney and has the most beautiful, sweet voice. SHe entertained us for hours on end, and we are all very happy that she will be back next month. If you would like to see her in action, have a look at her on youtube - she is one talented lady.
We also were very lucky to have Alana play her clarinet for us. After some initial hesitation, ALana summed up her courage and took to the stage. She did a great job, and we are hoping to see more of her and her talent!!

Carmel from Faces-ta-dah! was busy painting faces all day long, and as usual we had our monthly colouring in competition in full swing so that parents can shop in peace.

Andie from Me and Frankie came along at the last minute (slight mis communication!) and I am so happy she did.
Her hair accessories are big and chunky and she uses gorgeous fabrics that you don't find at other markets!hooooo-ray! My daughter is getting some of these too!!

Ali-Kat Creations. Athena uses beautiful crystals to create delicate pieces of jewellery. So perfect for weddings,or other special occasions.

Victoria from Craft Consortium takes old vintage unloved books and turns them into cards, and notebooks. She also makes gorgeous badges and earrings using vintage fabrics.

Poppy and Coco make sweet framed artworks using inspiring quotes and cut out shapes like owls and elephants. They also make childrens skirts (so cute) and many other wonderful things...

Katherine Mula has ben knitting for many years. She knits baby clothes, hats, and teddy bears. As winter is on its way, it may be time to snap up some of her creations!

Amanda and Anne are a mother/daughter team and knit/crochet the most adorable softies. They are both very clever - coming up with their own patterns like my favourite - the turtle! They also do a range of childrens clothing - including the sweetest winter jackets. They now have a facebook page - so check them out...
